AFFORDABLE PRICING

A common misconception about calligraphy is that it is too expensive and unaffordable.  In most cases I would have to agree but because this is my hobby, not my primary job, I don't have to charge outrageous prices for my work. My rates are about 60-70% less then most other quotes you would receive. 

For example, a quote from a competitor for 100 envelopes would run you about $4 per envelope ($400 total, and that doesn't include the inner envelope!).  Who can afford those prices?  With Dryden Calligraphy, you would only pay $1.60 per envelope ($160 total) for Straight or Italic calligraphy,  and my price always includes the inner envelope.  The most expensive calligraphy style is Fancy Italic at $2 per envelope.

NATIONWIDE SERVICE

I can do most weddings in less then a week.  Because of my affordable rates, I  am able to service brides nationwide, using US Postal Service or UPS, both with tracking with delivery confirmation. 

 

My Portfolio

I've been doing calligraphy and working with agencies, brides and consultants for over 20 years.  In my earlier years I worked exclusively with Robert and Georgette Mosbacher when they resided in Houston, Texas, just before his appointment to Vice President Bush Sr's cabinet as Secretary of Commerce.  One dinner was featured in "Houston Home and Garden" magazine   (see pictures of the dinner in the "Calligraphy Samples" link).

I hand lettered 100 menu cards for Vice President Bush Sr's dinner and also the menu cards for the King and Queen of Spain which was published in "Hola" magazine (see pictures in the "Calligraphy Samples" link).
